The "Expression from Expression" series takes the continuality of Japanese contemporary art as its theme, with Part One featuring the works of Susumu Koshimizu and Part Two with Shintaro Tanaka and Wakiro Sumi.
The 1970s was a turning point in the history of Japanese contemporary art, where many artists started to explore original Japanese expressions and drift away from American ones. How did this shift pass on to the next generation? The series is a chance to think about generations in the art scene of Japan and throughout Asia.
