Mieko Tadokoro "I Want to Meet Ichiyo - The Stories of Hiroshi Miura"

Pola Museum Annex
Finished

Artists

Mieko Tadokoro, Ichiyo Higuchi, Hiroshi Miura
This is the third exhibition Pola has held of Tadokoro's pinhole photography, which reveals a fantastical vision of Paris unlike anything anyone has seen before.

This exhibition takes the world of Ichiyo Higuchi as its theme. Tadokoro has taken photos of the miniature models of houses and rooms that Hiroshi Miura has crafted out of wood (to either 1/20 or 1/10 of the original scale), taking stories by Ichiyo Higuchi as his inspiration.

While it is not possible to go inside these works, looking at Tadokoro's pinhole photography one has the feeling of standing inside them. This exhibition is presenting 40 of Tadokoro's photographs and 3 of Miura's original models.
