Using mannequins and constructing stages in various locations, Yoshitaka Hyodo creates grotesque, yet beautifully sensual photographs.
This time, he has modeled three life-sized dolls used for masturbation, and spent about three years staging the scenes and photographing them. In this exhibition, there are ten TV monitors and projectors showing documentation of the shooting process, the diorama set with the three figures featured in the work, as well as 20 of the resulting photographs.
