Consisting of four parts, this is a series of screenings of video art from Japan and abroad.
[Japanese Works: Invitation]
24 works selected from film, video, performance, installation works created between 2005 to 2007 are on screen. This festival functions as a stepping stone for the presented artists to be introduced nationally and internationally.
[Selected Works from an open call for submissions]
For this year, there were total 480 submissions and the prize was given to a piece by Yasuhito Murakami, a university student living in Saitama. Jurors were Shinji Miyadai, Kensuke Chibo, and Chris Gehman.
"Good-Bye 'Stylish'"
Consisting of 3 programs with 18 works, this special series is devoted to works that are controversial and transgressive. Marina Abramovic's "Seven Easy Pieces", and an animation piece by Killian Dellers from Switzerland collaborating with a Japanese musician Kazuo Imai are on screen.

Including series of digital documentary video of social criticism, and works by avant-garde animators Suzan Pitt and Georges Schwizgebel, wide range of contemporary works are on screen.
