"Furniture Created through the Saito Method" Exhibition

Living Design Center Ozone
Finished
Some say that raising children has become a more difficult task in today's dense information society. This exhibition, coordinated by Nippon Form, aims to propose lifestyle solutions for contemporary Japanese families, with furniture pieces produced in collaboration with interior design companies, taking into account educational theories and concepts in an attempt to readdress issues of dwindling communication among parents and children. Featured are interior schemes that promote fine sensibilities derived from life, furniture that encourages cherishing and careful use over a long time, and relaxing spaces on tatami mats and low tables that allow families to bond.

On display are furniture pieces centering on the Wepi series conceived by the "Saito method," attributed to Takashi Saito, who devised his approach in line with a unique child-rearing style meant to raise kids in a rich, supportive environment that would promote and extend natural learning capabilities.

Related seminars also planned. See website for details.
