"Photo & Graph Exhibition -Portrayal of Light-"

Joshibi University of Art and Design - Joshibi Art Museum
Finished
This exhibition introduces works by Joshibi Art University graduates who have been active in photography and graphics. Works and messages with a uniquely feminine viewpoint are displayed alongside their creations from a pre-event workshop held in September 2007 and 21st century versions of girly photos. The "girly photo" phenomenon occurred in the 1990s, and high school students were seen taking photos of familiar objects with compact cameras or disposable cameras. Everyone from ladies who used to take such photos in their high school days to those who are currently taking photos with their cell phones or digital cameras will have a chance to exhibit their works at some point during the exhibition also. The exhibition will tour Ginza, Aoyama and Shinjuku areas as well.
