Sakiko Nomura "Black Darkness"

Gallery Naruyama
Finished

Artists

Sakiko Nomura
As opposed to conventional photo-taking methods, which strives to capture all possible colors between black and white, Nomura attempts to deliver messages through mere blackness. Her mentor Nobuyoshi Araki named this endeavor "black darkness", which became the title of this exhibition as well as one of her new photo books being launched this fall.
On view this time are monochrome photographs that reveal the deepest psyche of the artist.
In conjunction with the launch of her first color-photo book, Nomura is holding another exhibition entitled "Night Flight" at Little More Gallery.
