Seiko House Hall
Finished

Artists

Ken Mihara, Ryoji Koie
Every year, the Japan Ceramics Society Award is given to the best ceramicist of the year, and the Japan Ceramics Society Golden Award to the most influential veteran ceramicist. The winners for 2007 are Ken Mihara, who creates his original yakishime-tou sekki (unglazed stoneware) at his studio in Shimane Prefecture, for the Japan Ceramics Society Award, and Ryoji Koie, who actively exhibits his work nationally and internationally, for the Golden Award. This exhibition features work by these two prizewinners, showcasing around 100 vases, cups, and vessels by Koie and 50 tranquil stoneware works by Mihara.
