Im Suhan
Historically, photography has functioned as a medium for recording suspended time at a fixed vanishing point. Upon releasing the shutter, a camera captures temporal and spatial "suspensions" experienced by the subject.

Im Suhan's practice deviates from this principle. By moving a camera horizontally as he releases the shutter, he captures both the passage of time and a shifting of space. This method of opening a shutter for a long period of time does not rely on a fixed vanishing point, giving the resultant image a sense of motion while destroying perspective at the same time. The destruction of perspective blurs the shape and colors of the subject, leaving only the trace of a streaming motion. Through this gesture, Suhan draws an analogy between such an image and the rapid-fire external changes experienced by people today.

A total of 30 color photographs are on view.
