Susanne Klemm
Gallery Deux Poissons is holding a solo exhibition of Amsterdam-based Swiss jewelry designer Susanne Klemm (b.1965) who are renowned internationally. Having participated in "Red Light Design Project" inaugurated last year as part of municipal agenda to promote Amsterdam's tourist mecca Red Light District (known as "decorative window district"), Klemm was selected as one of the most innovative contemporary jewelry designers. Having an atelier with a decorative window for a limited period of one year, her vigorous activities are now attracting increasing attention.

Understanding jewelry as the medium to deliver her messages and feelings, and also as the vehicle to initiate communications between its wearer and others, Klemm creates work that stimulates the viewer's imagination. Each time, she introduces a collection of items made with a wide array of materials and techniques.

New series on view this time entitled "Frozen" is a collection of white pieces in which the botanical transience seems to be frozen forever. A total of 16 rings and brooches in the forms of some mysterious flowers and fruits resonate with each other, starting to weave imaginative stories before the viewer's eye.
