Jiri Barta
Jiri Barta is a Czech stop-motion animation artist working today, leading the contemporary Czech animation genre originated by Jiriho Trnky and Bretislav Pojar. His most notable works include a story of animated mittens, "The Lost World of Mittens," "Krysař" whose story is an adaptation of a folklore "The Pied Piper of Hamelin," and "Abandoned Club" which portrays a mysterious and erotic world of abandoned mannequins. In summer 2009, his feature-length animation film "In the Attic" will be released in Japan.

Inviting Jiri Barta and the producer of "In the Attic" Miroslav Schmidtmajer, this event presents a talk session and the screening of Barta's films.
