Artists

Kenya Hara
Graphic designer Kenya Hara is well-known as the art director for Muji, the revamp of the Matsuya Ginza department store, and the design of promotional materials for the Aichi Expo. Since 2000, Hara also started curating art exhibitions, including "Re-Design: Everyday Life in the 21st Century," Takeo Paper Show 2004 Haptic" and "Tokyo Fiber '07 Senseware." In 2004, he published "Design's Design," a profound analysis of contemporary design that won him the Suntory Curation Award. "White" was another well-received book that Hara published in 2008.

This exhibition sheds light on Hara's book designs, a medium that everyone is familiar with. These days, the printed media is gradually being replaced by electronic or digital equivalents. Centered on Hara's design philosophy, this exhibition focuses on books and objects that could be called "sculptures of information."
