Atsushi Sato
Every year, Sato exhibits black-and-white photographs on various themes. In order to express three-dimensional subjects in a two-dimensional format, a photographer has to acquire an acute sensibility, experience and technological prowess. This time, Sato chose familiar materials like plants and stones as his main motifs. Skillfully utilizing natural light, he attempted to extract the finest shades of gray that exist between black and white.
