Mariyo Yagi
Mariyo Yagi is an environmental artist and sculptor who has shown her "nawa rojii" works at various venues across the world, including a 300 meter long earthwork in Ireland and a 8 hectare park made with the help of local residents. For this exhibition, Yagi has created a forest-like installation made by twisting rope around wood shavings (waste material generated from the lumberyards in the area around the gallery).
