Mao Yamaguchi
Mao Yamaguchi, who works as a painter, woodblock artist and Illustrator, is well known for his series of humanlike cat paintings and woodblock prints. Mao-neko is a cat that walks on two legs and exists with people, appearing in the Japanese art & culture scene during the late ‘80s. Hiromart Gallery presents Mao Yamaguchi’s solo exhibition, “Through the eyes of Mao-neko”, featuring the artist's latest woodblock prints, which show his cynical point of view combined with humor.
