Y++| Wada Fine Arts are pleased to invite you to Rodel Tapaya's solo exhibition titled “Mystic Origins: Plants I”. Tapaya is an artist who made a dramatic entrance onto the international art stage after winning the Grand Prize at the APD Signature Art Award, one of the most prestigious art awards in Asia, in November, 2011.
We also held solo presentations of Tapaya's work at Art Stage Singapore and Art HK, 2012, making a strong impact on many international collectors from Asia, Europe, the US, and the Middle East.
His new works in this exhibition are based on narratives in Filipino folktales and inspired by some kind of religious feeling, like animism. His wide range of colors and dynamic composition make his works very original and attractive. We present eight new works (190x160cm-40x30cm) at the exhibition.
