Yutokutaishi Akiyama
Yutokutaishi Akiyama was born in 1935, Tokyo. He become recognized nationwide when he announced his candidacy for the Tokyo gubernatorial elections under the propaganda “politics to be pop art” in 1975 and 1979. At this exhibition, Akiyama will show his new performance piece parodying the Tokyo gubernatorial elections, and tin sculptures that he has been making for years.
