Mizuho Koyama
Mizuho Koyama studied traditional Japanese calligraphy for a long time under Suiho Kuwahara, a master of Japanese calligraphy in the Showa period. After that she created her own style constructed by geometric and architectural approaches to words and characters.

Mainly her work is inspired from old poetry, such as the "Manyoshu" (The Anthology of Myriad [Ten Thousand] Leaves). She takes words and characters from the verses, then designs images from them. The works are old - new as her action is
something like work that she creates new buildings from stuff of old relics.
