Mitsuhito Wada “Flower of Afterimage”

Gallery Cocon
Finished

Artists

Mitsuhito Wada
Architectural forms built from light and color are brought into collaboration with historic art artifacts in a variety of installations, while the second floor room has been transformed into a camera obscura, projecting a reversed image of the outside world across the walls and ceiling, further enhanced by the use of reflection in mirrors. In the top floor tea room an afterimage effect is created with UV and strobe lighting to make flowers and historic artifacts float across the viewers eyes, in an evocation of spatial and physical memory.
