Around 30 outstanding works by traditional Japanese handicraft artists designated as living national treasures. On display are Sonoko Sasaki’s “tsumugi-ori ” (pongee weavings), Kazumi Murose’s “maki-e” (Japanese lacquer ware), and Noboru Fujinuma’s “takezaiku” (bamboo crafts). Rooted in tradition with assured craftsmanship and artistry, these works will bring you closer to the heart of exquisite beauty.

Workshop
Sonoko Sasaki will speak about her works, Kazumi Murose will lead a lacquer ware classroom, and Noboru Fujinuma will give a demonstration of bamboo craft making.
