Kenta Okamoto “Virtual Colony”

Nikon Salon Bis
Finished

Artists

Kenta Okamoto
Around 45 color photographs of residential areas in Hokkaido, Kanto, Kansai, and Okinawa, which all have their own cultures and landscapes. When viewed in a series, the differences between the photographed places seem to break down, making it appear as though the residential areas are part of one continuing landscape. A closer look, however, reveals slight differences, as the photographer has reconstructed the images into a kind of virtual reality based on his own experiences.
