Reverend Wilbert Awdry created the beloved “Thomas the Tank Engine” story to read to his sick son. Since the publication of the picture book in England in 1945, “Thomas” remains popular in countries across the globe. This exhibition introduces the world of Thomas with 170 original drawings by three groups of illustrators, artwork for a series not published in Japan, and models used for the shooting of the TV series.
