Artists

Mari Amita
Well known for her photographs of the Michelle Gun Elephant, Perfume and RIP SLYME, the work of Mari Amita has appeared upon numerous CD covers, along with photography books and magazines, capturing not merely the concrete object of the camera’s gaze, but holding a documentative approach which distills the body and its movements in a single moment. Her captivating shots which combine delicacy and hardness have inspired many artists and fans alike. In this her first solo exhibition Amita presents a flower series developed last Summer, confronting the moment in which gives rise to the movement of light, wind and dew drops in a vivid drama which surpasses the simple motif of flowers. Here 45 gelatin prints are showcased and availiable for purchase, along with photo book collections, photo frames and iPhone case designs.
