Kagari Miyoshi brings a contemporary and delicate sensibility to traditional Japanese crafts. Forming fantastic worlds of light and shadow replaying impressionistic memories of night scenes, streets, and nature, Miyoshi’s works of lacquer, mother-of-pearl, crushed shells, and gold and silver leaf display a universal and timeless beauty that pulls in the viewer. Makie boxes featuring nightscapes are exhibited along with new wall art, small works, and accessories.
