Interdisciplinary Art Festival Tokyo 2014

Kissa Sakaiki
Finished

Artists

Hyun-Suk Seo, Sung Nam Han, Shuhei Nishiyama, code20xx (Naoko Noshiro) et al.
Day 1 of this multi-genre festival presents screenings of audio-visual artist Sung Nam Han’s “super-linear” work “Blue Fog: Bar Drama Vol. 3,” video of a play by South Korean director Hyun-Suk Seo, and a documentary by Seo showing at the 2014 Venice Biennale International Architecture Exhibit, which makes its Japan debut. There will also be a talk exploring the meaning of “interdisciplinary art.”

Day 2 brings “blind date” collaborations that put interdisciplinary art to the test in performance. Rather than choosing their own partners, the artists have been teamed up with other cutting-edge creators, unknown to each other, at the recommendations of the festival organizers. This program is an omnibus of daring, spectacular art.
