Amita’s beloved husband and photography instructor Hiroshi Nomura sadly passed away in September 2014. In order to overcome her feelings of deep despair Amita took up the pursuit of the landscape, a world which freely and infinitely opens before oneself, a world which perhaps her husband saw but had remained unseen by herself. Taking up the camera she undertook to trace the eye of her lost partner, paying tribute to him in her own creative way. The result of this journey is a collection of richly textured works of light and dark, reality and fantasy, tinged with a sense of the spiritual brought together here in a selection of 40 silver gelatin prints.
