In 1992 Elaine Fleiss worked together with Olivier Zahm(currently editor of Purple Fashion) to release the cutting edge independent magazine “Purple Prose” and continued from that point to publish numerous art and fashion journals including “Purple”, “Hélène” and “The Purple Journal”.
As independent publishing becomes an increasing movement in Japan, Vacant takes this opportunity to join forces with Fleiss in the release of the bilingual production “Les Chroniques Purple” and an exhibition of art work which has been featured through its pages, selected from Fleiss’ recent chronicles of creative encounters.
