“The job of the camera is to extrapolate the emotion of the person before it,” says Miyuki Matsuda, a photographer who uses the world’s smallest and lightest single-lens α7 camera. “The camera’s smallness lets me get closer to my subjects and bring out their personalities even more,” she continues. Her breathtakingly vivid works retain their power and high resolution even when enlarged to life-sized images. These photographs of ten people from different walks of life let viewers interpret the vibrant appearances and emotions of these figures for themselves.
