This exhibition focuses on Todd McLellan’s “Disassembly,” a series of photographs showing the parts of typewriters, computers, and cutting-edge gadgets that the artist has taken apart and arranged in systematic order. In addition to being visually compelling, these shots reveal the structural complexity of their objects. McLellan has disassembled and photographed three types of timepieces from Paul Smith’s “Watch” series especially for this exhibition, presenting each and every detail of the elaborate mechanisms comprising these beautiful timepieces. All of the exhibited works are available for purchase.
