Cézanne Exhibition

Pola Museum of Art
Finished

Artists

Paul Cézanne
Picasso is the one who claimed that Cézanne “is the father of us all”, and it is certain that he was a pioneer who influenced firstly the likes of Braque and Matisse and came to spread his impact upon other major artists of the 20th century. And yet it was not a straight path to this this lauded position. This exhibition shares the Cézanne works of the Pola Museum of Art with that of other Japanese collections, exploring the rise of this great artist and his exchange with his contemporaries.
