Akihiro Nikaido + Ryuichi Sakai “Shadow Scenes”

Paku Paku An
Finished

Artists

Akihiro Nikaido, Ryuichi Sakai
In its two-artist exhibitions, Paku Paku An finds cross-overs between contemporary art and crafts that resonate with each other, expanding perspectives on the works beyond the artists’ conceptions of them in ways that stimulate the imaginations of the viewers. Sculptures placed on the floor respond to paintings on walls. The dual elements of the works combine to form new worlds not even the artists could imagine. This series hopes for a rediscovery and return to the joy of “awareness” and “consideration” in our everyday lives through encounters of pleasant tension and originality.
