Artists

Manji Inoue
In addition to new and major works by the ceramicist Manji Inoue, this exhibition marking the 20th anniversary of his designation as a Living National Treasure also presents tableware designed for relaxing times at home. To Inoue, a Living National Treasure is not someone who has perfected an art, but who is forever challenging him or herself. He also believes tradition is not just something to be passed down but created with each age. This occasion marks the departure point for new traditions and a look ahead to the future.
