Tin toy production started in Munich, a city renowned for its watchmaking technology. After spreading across Germany and America, tin toy making came to Japan, which produced its own until it became a country of production for Germany and America. Several examples of tin toys are on display, with a focus on foreign-made ones created between 1890 and 1930.
