In the cold of the winter the production of work is a challenging task, yet there is a sense of losing one’s impurities and returning to a state of whitness, as if all the ghosts had been chased away. In the continuing twists and cruelties of this world, such a sense is perhaps something to be clung to. Here Mariane offers up works like flowers rising from the snow, with delicate dialogues settling upon white washi paper.
