Artists

Ben Shahn
One of the leading American painters of the 20th century Ben Shahn took on the issues of racism, oppression and poverty rendered in trembling lines and bold compositions. From works tackling social issues in the Daigo Fukuryumaru (Lucky Dragon No. 5) and references to Rilke’s The Notebooks of Malte Laurids Brigge, from early to late works, this exhibition provides an overview of his artistic practice through the eyes of the Marunuma Art Park collection.
