Syuta (Mimoto Shuta) “Zebra”

Makii Masaru Fine Arts
Finished

Artists

Mitomo Shuta
Artist’s statement: My theme for 2015 is “zebra,” which can mean a striped horse but also a crossing walk a called a “zebra zone.” On days when the sun shines brightly, we can sense different reflections of light on the white paint and asphalt. Stripes also occur in genetic analysis. My works refer to human relationships, elements of life science, and light and shadow— hence the zebra theme.
