Ayao Yamana
Ayao Yamana (1897-1980), a designer for the Shiseido Company who was influenced by French Art Deco, created sophisticated designs based on a dignified and refined image of women. This exhibition introduces the world of Yamana’s design, inspired by the spirit of Art Deco, through magazine illustrations, posters, newspaper advertisements, and product packages.
