Michael Sowa
Michael Sowa (b.1945) is a German artist known mainly for his paintings, which are variously whimsical, surreal, or stunning. Sowa studied at the Berlin State School of Fine Arts for seven years and worked briefly as an art teacher before focusing entirely on his career as a painter and illustrator. He is also known for the style of continuously revising painting. In a very rare opportunity to see his original paintings, three works from his “Security” series painted in his mysterious Sowa-style and two of his popular animal paintings with a rabbit and a bear as their subjects are on display.
