This exhibition will showcase the latest two-dimensional and three-dimensional works by the celebrated post-war Japanese artists Yutokutaishi Akiyama (b. 1935), Tatsuo Ikeda (b. 1928), Shintaro Tanaka (b. 1940) and Tatsumi Yoshino (b. 1940). The boundary between flat planes and and voluminous objects is becoming increasingly ambiguous, however, at the same time, values and methods of expression are diversifying. This exhibition will showcase works by artists that dare to challenge the rich possibilities of both dimensions while taking into account the constraints of each.
