Artists

Arthur Huang
Artist/scientist Arthur Huang will display aspects of his studio practice, artistic activities and everyday life to provide insights into the way he navigates the different aspects of his life. The juxtaposition of his Memory Walks Project and his Daily Drawing Project forms the foundation of this exhibition. He will also exhibit notes, social media posts, ephemera, and other inspirational items that inform his artistic practice, along with photographs, notes, sketches, and ephemera from his other 2016 exhibitions. Though the Daily Drawing and Memory Walks projects may seem like disparate studio practices in visual terms, both are grounded in the everyday and memory. By installing these projects together for “My Everyday Life,” it gives the artist himself a chance to step back from daily activities and his studio practice to see where he has been, where he is and where he might possibly go with his ideas from here. For viewers of this exhibition, it is an opportunity to enter into and see how one artist manages the responsibilities of work, daily life and studio practice to express the ideas in his projects.
