Chiyuki Sakagami
Using primarily watercolor and ink, Sakagami fills the picture plane with sequences of biomorphic forms resembling microorganisms. At times the details are so minute as to be imperceptible to the naked eye, and the pictures seem to burst with latent narratives. In recent years she has exhibited series entitled “Naturalis Historia” and “Scriptures from the Birds.”
