Rei Shito’s photo exhibition “Omotesando and me : The Past 10 Years And The Next” will be held from Jan 13 (Wed) to Feb 29 (Mon) 2016, using the temporary enclosures covering some of the shops under renovation, as gallery walls.
This will be the first exhibition in this scale in Japan, of Rei Shito, a leading street-style fashion photographer. About 150 photos will be on display, including 17 newly shot for this exhibition, of the celebrities who have strong ties to Omotesando.
Fashion photos all taken in Omotesando area, and the text accompanying them cut out “the moment in time” of the area. This is Rei’s attempt to tell the story of changing/unchanging fashion, from the viewpoint of someone who has witnessed the past, and feels the future, of the street.
