The Multistory World by genius director David Lynch meets the Multilayered World, a weaving of 9,000 threads by the twelfth-generation Nishijin textile artist Masataka Hosoo. Analysis of the imagery and perspective of Lynch’s painting “Spiral” with technology based on nishijin weaving combine cutting-edge creativity and digital technology with Japanese tradition for an entirely unprecedented experience at Gyre. Lynch’s message for Gyre is: “For me, the spiral is a continuous loop of ascent and descent representing evolution.”
