Across many parts of the world it is common to make the peace sign with one’s fingers as a symbol of victory, happiness or non-violence. When we sign for peace we naturally spread smiles across those around us. In a world of unending war and terrorism, and continued uncertainty and irrationality even in Japan, Maeda seeks to disseminate more smiles no matter what hardship we face.
