Rediscover Re-creation: Found Muji

Atelier Muji Ginza
Finished

Artists

Naoto Fukazawa, Naoko Yano et al.
Collecting and repurposing casual wares indispensible to daily life around the world, Found Muji first launched as a private brand of Seiyu. The label was reborn as the bricks-and-mortar store Muji Aoyama in 2011, and is now opening an international series of shops. This exhibition looks backs on Muji’s history from 1980 through 2016 with an eye towards its future, considering its objective of “living well,” and how Found Muji continues to rediscover and recreate goods for this purpose.
