Five years since the Great East Japan Earthquake on March 11th, 2011, media reports of the disaster-affected areas have dropped off. Some may assume that reconstruction work is nearly complete, but this is not the case. Takanori Sasaki presents sets of six fixed-point photographs for each year between 2011 and 2016, plus one black and white set taken before the disaster. Bear witness to the gradual transformations in the landscape of Kamaishi, Iwate Prefecture.
