Bonsai: The World-Famous Saitama Brand

This two-part exhibition commemorates the 8th World Bonsai Convention in Saitama City, which will be held from April 27 to April 30 at Saitama Super Arena. Bonsai treasures carefully selected from the museum collection will be presented, including Goyo-matsu, the Japanese Five Needle Pine known as Higurashi, which has not been displayed publicly for six years. There will also be world-famous “Omiya Bonsai” masterpieces introduced, boasting numerous tree species of varying heights. You can learn about the history and culture of bonsai through the art exhibition that will follow later in the year.
