Kishin Shinoyama, Shigeo Goto
A talk coinciding with the release of “Kabuki by Kishin,” Kishin Shinoyama’s book of large-format photographs of Kabuki actors. Shinoyama will discuss his motivations for photographing kabuki stars for more than 40 years, how he entered this field, and various episodes with leading actors such as Bandō Tamasaburō V and Nakamura Kanzaburō XVIII. Editor Shigeo Goto, editor of the collection, will join the discussion. Shinoyama will sign copies. (In Japanese).
