Ahead of the founding of the Media Design facility at Takarazuka University in 2018, the media design workshop headed by Tetsui Watanabe and the manga workshop led by Harumi Ichino will collaborate on the production of a range of anthropomorphic characters for use on products manufactured by Mizutori - a producer of traditional Japanese footwear known as “geta.” In addition to “Mizuno Konkon,” which has already been unveiled, there will be another six anthropomorphic characters created. These will be introduced in this exhibition alongside tapestries, panels, and geta.
