Artists

Katsutoshi Yuasa
Katsutoshi Yuasa is an artist who creates woodcut prints, using traditional Japanese techniques, that are based on photographs he has shot himself. Produced over an extended period of time, the shape of each work only becomes apparent once it has been completed, Yuasa’s ideas and interpretations growing and evolved during the making process. Through combining traditional approaches and digital technology the artist pursues new possibilities for woodblock printing. Four 4-color woodblock prints printed with water-based inks will be presented alongside Yuasa’s CMYK series, landscapes, and other works.
